Fishing Landscape Photos

quick update - here are a couple of pictures i took while fishing , it just shows how pleasant it is to fish English waters and the British countryside

Carp show !

So on the 1st December the carp society are holding their annual event at sandown racecourse in esher surrey , i think that this would be a great show for any keen angler to attend , obviously their prices for tackle will be extortionate , so the plan if anyone was thinking of going would be to go on the last day purely to check out what to buy for the 2013 season and secondly they will be selling of their bait cheap.. scoree,

Long overdue Update...

So i know it has been like three months since i have updated my blog and i have no reason why... but i thought i would do a big overview of my season. From September onwards i decided to take up carp fishing , this which no one warned me was very addictive , hence why i have not updated. It started out as a bit of fun not really having a great deal of knowledge on this type of fishing but so much has this changed now that i would say 80% of my fishing consists of it and the gear i have now bought..its endless.i could descibe and detail all day long but i think it would be better to upload photos form the very begging to my pb at the end of 18lb enjoyyy

I take it back , second perch caught!

so last week i had stated that i had caught a once in a lifetime catch and from what i heard it was meant to be , maybe it just was my day :) fishing in the same spot i managed to catch another huge perch , not as big as the last but 2.5 pounds worth, however the method was far different , after having nothing on my pike line all day i decided to swap my treble trace for a lure , now this technique was very new too me and i had never done ti before however i thought whats the harm i may as well try it out... , well my luck was very much in that day after casting out a couple of times and getting the feel for it i went to the same spot where i had caught the 4 pound perch previously within the first cast i was on , i had no idea what was on the end of my line and honestly i thought it was a pike , my way i wrong again...

well the photo talks for itself

First pike :)

just another quick update which has been long overdue , carrying on my my success last week with he perch i decided to keep fishing at the spot , and yet again it didn't disappoint , using my jrc defender i chucked out a live bait (roach) on a treble trace with my weight free lining after waiting about 20 mins i started getting bites on the line and struck , i just didn't know what was on the end of the line after last time and therefore couldn't afford to lose it..

i had managed to catch my first jack pike :) i didnt have my scales on me but it was only a baby

Once in a lifetime catch!!!

Two weeks ago i decided to add a rod and reel to my collection to allow me to broaden my fishing from just ledgering , i therefore decided to go for the jrc defender with the shimano 6000st reel , this would allow me to live bait for pike and also use it for carp fishing due to the bait runner function on the reel.
i therefore went down to one of my spots near weybridge and decided to use it as i could not catch anything except perch on my ledgering rod i decided to try a small perch as a live bait on a treble trace and 5 minuits later i was amazed that i was having huge bites!!! i therefore struck and i was on , i was getting so excited that i would have caught my first pike... how i was amazed :) look at the photo below

so i had just managed to catch a 4 pound perch, at the time i was over the moon but my was i in for a shock after spreading the word about it and showing fellow anglers of the catch i found out that a perch at this size is a once in a life time catch!! what a way to christen a rod eyy ?
i will keep you update on fishing in this spot and you never know what could be the next thing out of here you just don't know

Update

So i know i haven't updated my new blog in a while .. the fishing has just been crazy i have been exploring carp fishing and visiting many different fisheries across Surrey , these are just beautiful places to fish and you don't run the risk of as many snags and idiots on boats running through your lines with river fishing. I therefore will be updating via separate posts what i have been doing over the last two weeks , hope you enjoy!
